Pacing is important to every genre of television, but it’s especially important in horror. A lull in a story stands out as a noticeable offense when everything happening on screen is designed to either build tension or offer a new clue for the hero to solve. Padding a horror show with an unnecessary episode will not do the story any favors, but that doesn’t stop it from happening.
