Robert De Niro's status as a cultural icon doesn't suffer one bit, even when he agrees to star in subpar movies. Such is his goodwill that the two-time Oscar-winner can routinely do films like Dirty Grandpa and The War with Grandpa, and get away relatively scott-free.
