Having opened to near-universal acclaim last year, the sprawling yet intimate Western drama Train Dreams is turning into quite a rage on streaming as well. The movie occupied prime spots on the domestic Netflix charts in the immediate aftermath of its release, and continues to be one of the most popular titles on home video as the Oscars race heats up. Train Dreams is a key contender in several categories, and also has an outside chance of scoring a Best Picture nod. The movie is based on the 2011 novella by Denis Johnson, and features Joel Edgerton as a grieving railroad worker who experiences life and loss against the backdrop of American progress. According to JustWatch, it was one of the 10 most popular movies on the domestic streaming charts this week, having previously peaked at the number two spot on the platform.
