Netflix’s 6-Part Spy Thriller Is the Streaming Hit Nobody Predicted
Despite plenty of options currently available to fans of espionage films and shows, an unlikely title is leaving them all behind. Tom Hiddleston returned after a decade to star in the second season of The Night Manager, which has been doing tremendously well for Prime Video over the last 50 days or so; on Peacock, Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson can be seen as Cold War-era spies in the new series Ponies. Gary Oldman and his crew are still drawing large audiences over on Apple TV with their long-running hit Slow Horses. But it's Netflix that's currently winning out with a new show that is arguably the least accessible of the lot. The show in question has been sneaking up on rivals, while maintaining a spot for itself on the global Netflix charts.
