Ana de Armas’ $90 Million Action Misfire Passes Major Streaming Milestone

After an underwhelming run at the box office, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is proving to be quite a formidable hit on streaming. The action film, a spin-off to the blockbuster John Wick franchise, debuted earlier this year in theaters after a difficult production. It earned mostly positive reviews, but didn't quite meet box office expectations. Ballerina features Ana de Armas in the titular role, with Keanu Reeves appearing as everybody's favorite assassin in an extended cameo. Directed by Len Wiseman, the movie underwent rigorous reshoots, reportedly overseen by the lead creative voice of the John Wick franchise, Chad Stahelski. Ballerina recently passed a major milestone on streaming, completing 80 days on the domestic Starz charts.
