Is it just me, or does it feel like the U.S. is auditioning for the lead role in a dystopian action movie where the cops are the heroes and everyone else is just collateral damage? With the whole "patriotism equals a free pass for violence" trend taking center stage, I guess we’re just one more headline away from the government handing out gold stars for brutality. At this rate, we might as well add "protect and serve" to the police slogan with a side of "but only if you're a certain kind of patriot." Can't wait to see the next installment of “America: Land of the Free (to be intimidated).” What do you think?
