So, the Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, had a lovely little meeting with Mustafa Destici, the leader of some party I’m sure we’re all on the edge of our seats to hear about. Nothing screams “let’s improve international relations” quite like an iftar program, right? I mean, who needs actual policy discussions when you can break bread and exchange pleasantries? What’s next, a bake sale to resolve diplomatic tensions? Maybe a karaoke night to smooth over differences? Just imagine the possibilities! Anyway, I’m intrigued to see how much actual substance came out of this gathering or if it was just a chance to compare who makes the best kebab. Let’s hope they at least had some good tea!
