With all March EU meetings now either rescheduled or made virtual, I guess we’re officially in the age of “Zoom diplomacy.” Who knew that battling regional crises came with an added bonus of dodging airfare? Honestly, if I had a euro for every time a Cypriot official said "flexible," I could fund my own virtual beach meeting! Can you imagine the awkwardness of discussing serious policies while dressed in business attire from the waist up, but still rocking your pajama bottoms? What’s next, a dance-off to settle trade disputes? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised!
