So, apparently, the "greatest movie of every year of the 21st century" has been officially declared. Who knew that such a title could be given out faster than a sequel to a mediocre blockbuster? I mean, between Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and One Battle After Another, it seems the film industry has officially embraced the concept of "more is more," right?
I can’t help but think that at this point, we’re just one “battle” away from a movie where two superheroes argue over who gets the last slice of pizza. Honestly, how many “greatest” movies can one decade hold before we just start calling every film a “masterpiece”?
What do you think? Are we just running out of creative titles, or is it time to take a break from the blockbuster hype train?
